About Iridesza

In 2013, I found myself crashed into the snow on the side of a steep mountain after a skiing accident. I had broken my tibia at the crown, and damaged all the soft connective tissue holding my knee. Despite this being an 'unfortunate' (and painful!) experience in some ways, it also has brought me exquisite blessings in the forms of deepened compassion for others' traumas, deepened gratitude for the exuberance of a thoroughly-lived life, and ultimately a fulfilling, dharmic career path.

The first time I received massage therapy, it was for my knee, about 2 years after the accident. The relief I felt was far more profound than any other method I had tried. I became incredibly inspired to help other people reactivate their bodies with this modality of healing work. For the last 8 years, I have specialized in deep tissue neuromuscular therapy in order to alleviate chronic pain post-injury.

A huge piece of my purpose on this planet has evolved into providing my services of presence and care coupled with well-practiced skillsets that assist people in regaining their physical ability to engage with our Earth in ways that feel most exciting for them. When we are free from pain, we can immerse ourselves fully embodied in the most sacred dances humankind knows - play. I am here to support healing in any way that promotes joy - Internally, externally, individually and collectively.

Client Feedback

FAQS

Q: Do you offer prenatal massages?

A: Absolutely! Pregnant clients are given massages in the side-lying position during my massage sessions and are bolstered with extra pillows for maximum comfort.

Q: What should I wear during my massage?

A: Disrobe to your comfort level for massages and body treatments. Undergarments or swimsuits can be worn.

Q: I want to book a massage on a weekend or holiday, is this possible?

A: Typically, yes. However, I may be unavailable during these times.

Q: Do you offer discounts or specials?

Yes! I offer discounts to promote my business during certain holiday periods. To find out if there is a current promotion happening, contact me or check my Facebook page to see those offerings.  If you purchase a massage the week of your birthday, you receive a 25% off coupon code!

Q: I need bodywork but I'm having trouble affording the care I need. Can you help?

A: Yes! I offer up to 6 sliding scale or bartering trades for massage sessions per month, please inquire about availability.

Q: Can my child (under 18) receive a massage?

A: Yes! However, a parent or guardian must be in the room during the massage or in the adjacent room with the door open.

Q: I have an appointment during a day with inclement weather. Will my appointment still happen?

A: If it is actively snowing, intensely rain storming, or snow/freezing rain is predicted that day, your appointment may need to be rescheduled (for no fee) to the soonest available time. If conditions have made accessing my office dangerous (such as resulting in icy stairways/sidewalks), we will also likely need to reschedule.

Q: How do appointment times work exactly?

A: The amount of massage time booked begins only once the massage itself has started. Most therapists count the arrival time as part of your paid time, meaning that if you booked an hour massage at 11am and we don't get started until 11:15am, you only would have 45mins of time for your massage. I cushion my appointments with enough time to allow for any necessary setup/breakdown or discussion, so that if you pay for an hour, you get the full hour! If you have somewhere to be promptly after your massage, please note that it may take several minutes to decompress after your massage, so please plan your day accordingly.

I warmly welcome and respect clients of all genders, religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds, providing a safe and inclusive space for healing and relaxation. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️
